Gunnison Nordic
Gunnison Nordic Club, a non-profit organization, grooms cross country ski trails throughout the Gunnison area, including the popular Hartman Rocks trail system, Van Tuyl Ranch, Western’s Practice Field, Jorgensen Park, and Dos Rios Golf Course. There are 45K of Nordic trails are available for the public. Early season efforts are make to groom at Mill Creek.
The goal of Gunnison Nordic is to provide high-quality groomed cross-country trails close to the City of Gunnison and to sponsor events and activities that promote Nordic skiing in the area.

VanTuyl Ranch is looking good! The North Loop and Church Loop groomed out mighty fine today. Cattle are still in the south pastures towards the Community School. Please seek access and parking by going north on Slaughterhouse Road and turn left just past the Jehovah’s Witness Church. Drive west through the gate and find immediate parking on the left! The Hartman’s big loop was set for skate and classic Friday afternoon. 3 passes were packed for skate and finished with a fourth pass and the classic drag. One more pass from Kill Hill to the Cottonwoods and back that included a classic track as well on the west side. Some of the best early season track with snow depth and wet base. Please be respectful of soft areas and avoid walking and riding bikes on the Nordic track. Gunnison Trails have set some great single track for biking and hiking! #skiGunnison
